Eastside Rise is a community-rooted organization working alongside East Tulsa residents and entrepreneurs to open doors to opportunity. From supporting small businesses to preserving housing and protecting the neighborhood’s rich cultural heritage, Eastside Rise helps people build better futures without losing what makes East Tulsa home.
As a new organization stepping into a big vision, Eastside Rise needed a brand that could bring people together and show what’s possible. The goal was simple but powerful: create an identity that feels authentic to the community and establishes Eastside Rise as a trusted partner in East Tulsa’s growth.
Labor Division guided the team through a hands-on, collaborative process, starting with a workshop to clarify their vision and voice. From there, we dove into ideation, drafting several logomarks based on our learnings and nouns list. After a few iterations, we landed on a look and feel that brought Eastside Rise to life, perfecting the final symbol and brand identity.
The new brand centers on a rising sun symbol, with intersecting rays that reflect the connections and diversity of East Tulsa’s people. Bright yellow adds warmth and optimism, highlighting the relationships that power Eastside Rise’s work. A clean, modern wordmark and a flexible system of colors, patterns, and badges keep the brand grounded and ready for what’s ahead. The Ozik and Outfit typefaces bring clarity and energy, making the brand easy to use and welcoming to everyone.
